Structured Data and Brand Entities: Help Machines Recognise You First
Structured data does not create rankings, but it determines whether machines can reliably identify your brand name, product relationships and factual boundaries.

Many brands are misidentified in generated answers not because they lack content, but because machines cannot find stable entity signals. Structured data exists to make those signals explicit.
01
Entities before keywords
Both search engines and generative systems tend to organise information around entities: who the brand is, what it offers and which products, people, places and events it relates to.
If the same brand appears under different names, abbreviations or transliterations across pages, consolidation becomes unreliable.
02
What structured data can express
Common JSON-LD types can mark up organisations, products, services, articles, questions, breadcrumbs and roles, helping machines understand how page fragments relate.
Its job is to reduce ambiguity, not to invent facts. When markup contradicts the visible page, the problem gets worse rather than better.

03
Three checks before shipping
First, are base fields such as name, address and contact details consistent everywhere? Second, do pages about the same entity reference each other? Third, does the markup describe only what actually exists on the page?
Update markup alongside new services, cases and knowledge pages rather than generating everything once and leaving it unattended.
